We had to end our season early due to melted pistons..we knew it was bad but we didnt know really the extent of bad... We tore the engine down last Wednesday so it could go to the machine shop on Friday. In the picture above from left to right...The first is what a piston should look like... the middle is what a melted piston looks like...On the right is what a piston is really really not suppose to look like. (See picture below of side view)
For the piston to melt like this it would mean our engine would have to been in the excess of 2,000 degrees...how do we fix this problem.....better built after market pistons and way more water injection.

Truck Building Season!!
Truck Building season has officially began. This year we are not just building Jason's truck, but two other engines also. I had to snap a few pictures of the shop part of the garage. Laid on the floor in black bags are the blocks and the heads. On the shelves lay the turbos and exhausts parts, and other bench shelves are pistons, rods and lots of other parts that most women would be clueless about. Jason's addicted motor still isn't in the pictures, only the head is. Machine work is going down to Randy's Machine Shop in Richfield on Friday.
Most people know that I love truck pulling, but I hate how expensive it is and also how much time it puts my husband in the garage. I am hoping I will enjoy this building season better because:
1. Jason is building other people's motors which means, Jason's motor gets partially paid for.
2. I know more about motors this season to help out.
3. Dayton loves being in the Garage with his daddy! (Free time for mom!!)

Wrap Ideas
We were just playing around and decided to print off some truck pictures. We colored them to kinda see what the wrap idea would look like. We like the Hemi Orange color, or the brand new Dodge Sunburst Orange color. We couldnt find markers in the color we were looking for so we did the best we could with what we had. The idea is to have a black truck and the paint and peeling/ripping off to reveal an orange truck.
